Russell Accommodation
Motel Russell offers modern, affordable, comfortable accommodation near Russell Village in the beautiful Bay of Islands, New Zealand. We have 15 rooms: studios, 1-bedroom units and 2-bedroom apartments. Motel Russell provides accommodation for families, couples, individuals, weddings, special events and groups. Free WiFi is available to all guests. Relax in our swimming pool & BBQ area and unwind to the song of birds.
Room Types
Studio – sleeps 2
Modern ground-floor studios with queen-size bed, couch, ensuite with shower, Freeview TV, tea & coffee-making facilities, toaster and small fridge. Door opens onto garden patio with picnic tables.

Studio Plus – sleeps 3
These lovely ground-floor spacious units have king-size bed (or 2 singles on request), a couch, ensuite with shower, Freeview TV, tea & coffee-making facilities, toaster, small fridge and microwave. Also available is the option of a third fold-away single sofa bed. Door opens onto garden patio with picnic tables.
Tariff is for 2 persons, additional person $25.
Kitchen Studio – sleeps 2-3
Spacious units have a couch, table and chairs, ensuite with shower, Freeview TV and full kitchen facilities. Unit 16 (top floor) has a king-size bed. Unit 15 (ground floor) has a superking-size bed or 3 x single beds.
Tariff is for 2 persons, additional person $25.
1-Bedroom Apartment – sleeps up to 5
Spacious, modern apartments with queen-size bed in bedroom, single bed & double sofa bed in open-plan lounge, kitchen, dining area with table and chairs, Freeview TV & DVD, microwave, stove top, fridge freezer and kitchen area, separate bathroom with a shower. Units 4-6 are on the top floor and units 7-9 are on the ground floor opening out onto a grassed garden area with outdoor furniture.
Tariff is for 3 persons, additional person $25.
2-Bedroom Apartment – sleeps up to 6
2-bedroom apartment with open-plan lounge, dining area with table and chairs, separate bathroom with a shower, Freeview TV & DVD and full kitchen facilities. 1 king-size bed in one bedroom, queen-size in other bedroom, sofa bed in the lounge.
Tariff is for 4 persons, additional person $25.
2-Bedroom Family Apartment – sleeps up to 8
2-bedroom apartment with open-plan lounge, dining area with table and chairs, separate bathroom with a shower, Freeview TV & DVD and full kitchen facilities. Queen-size bed in one bedroom, single bed and a double bed with single bunk above in other bedroom (or double bed and single bunk beds), double sofa bed in lounge.
Tariff is for 4 persons, additional person $25.
Terms and Conditions
- Rates are GST inclusive
- For guaranteed reservations please advise your credit card type, number & expiry date. We do not store credit card numbers on our computers.
- Guaranteed reservations cancelled less than 30 days prior to check-in may incur a 20% charge. Cancellations six days prior may incur a 50% charge. Cancellations 48 hours prior may incur a 100% charge.
- Extra price per person is $25
- Check-in time after 2pm; check-out time before 10am
- Breakfast menu available at extra cost
